Riverskate, CARVER (188L | 226L)
a riverskate for bigger paddlers
when we started riverskate, the number 1 question we got: when will there be one for bigger paddlers?
this is it.
for SUP paddlers up to 220 lbs, we recommend the carver 188L
for SUP paddlers over 220 lbs or anyone wanting to build an inflatable whitewater canoe with modular saddle setup, we recommend the carver 226.
Specs:
Length: 8'4"
Width: 32 1/2"
Thickness: 10cm (188L), 12cm (226L)
Features:
Patent-pending grab wings for radical stability
symmetrical outline and 4WD (twin tip fin setup) for bidirectional riding and surfing
screw inserts for adding foot hooks
Centered grab handles for acid drops and other grabs
Progressive rocker
3 sets of D-rings plus deck D-ring(s) for multiple outfitting configurations including:
kayak thigh straps
canoe / c-1 saddle + thigh straps
inflatable thwarts / backband
Outfitting options built in and ready to go:
patented grab wings = radical stability
for SUP paddler above 200lbs, the carver will perform whitewater freestyle moves -- such as linked cartwheels -- not possible on any other SUP. This is because of its patent pending grab wings, which provide radical secondary stability and allow the overall volume to be much lower than a traditional SUP board.
by redistributing the volume to where it counts (the rails), riverskates have a different kind of stability, and a completely different feel in the water -- more in the flow (like a powder day on a snowboard) -- rather than on top of it.
this lower volume approach to to SUP is revolutionizing how people paddle whitewater in sthe standing postion, and transforms any size rapid, even flatwater, into a magic arena to train.
